Second in Command (SIC)

The AAHSL Second in Command (SIC) group is an informal gathering of people who hold assistant/associate/deputy director roles in their libraries with their positional authority being directly below a director. The goal of the SIC group is to establish connections between colleagues, provide support, build a peer network, and share information on practices, policies, and emerging issues in health sciences librarianship. The group meets via Zoom on a quarterly schedule. Library directors with new 'second in commands' staff can submit their name and email address to Heather Holmes for inclusion to future meeting invites.
